Minimalist Living – September

It seems to me that I wore much more clothes this month. Take a look.

Bottoms: 1 shorts, 1 jeans, 1 high waisted jeans (guys, these are sooo good and comfy I honestly recommend them – H&M) and 1 maxi skirt.

Tops: 3 shirts, 2 long sleeved T-shirts, 1 short sleeved and a tank top.

Outerwear: 1 blazer, 1 vest, 1 cardigan and 1 blanket as I call it x)

Shoes, as you can see, I have similar ankle booties. What I realized is I could spend most of my money coats and these kind of  booties! New weak spot! :/
The black and brown ones I bought only because they were so cheap (8$) and OMG they are the best buy ever! I’ve been out and about in them literally all day walking and exploring a new city and at the end of the day my feet didn’t hurt! Blessing! I love them!

I found that most of my items that I really love either came from a thrift shop or really cheap! How about you?

The all black ones, on the other hand, started hurting after only a few hours and I will most likely get rid of them. Same as the gray Startas. They are just old and worn out, but I am having seperating anxiety. Hhh Anyone else having these problems?

Just from looking at these pics I already know a few things I’m going to get rid of. Some of the clothes which are on the list, I wore just once and I realized they don’t make me feel that good when I wear them. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Which is what your clothes are supposed to do in the end!

Just like my OOTD from September! Check it out here! ๐Ÿ™‚

OOTD DIY Wrapped Necklace

His whole outfit revolves around this necklace I’ve made. What do you think about it? I hope you like it.

That’s why the outfit is so simple.

I wore a simple black T shirt to accentuate the necklace and bring it to focus point. Paired with ripped jeans just to give it a more edgy and interestig look. All with my lovely Startas of course. Just add a nice red lipstick and you’re ready to go!

What do you think?

OOTD Denim on Denim

Sun is out and shining, perfect time for shorts! Yaaay!

I went for a classic denim on denim look!ย

I paired dark denim shorts with a lighter denim shirt that has some interesting flowers details on it which brings an interesting element to it.
That is why ย I didn’t choose to wear any accessories. I didn’t feel it necessary and felt the outfit itself is enough.
And of course, my Startas canvas shoes are a must! Aren’t they great?! ;D

What do you think? Would you choose any accessories with it?

Minialist Living – January

I just took the pictures of what I wore this January and I am quite shocked. I wore so little clothes, I’m a bit ashamed. hhh

Take a look.

20160202_10382420160202_11033220160202_10553220160202_11063920160202_111217

So… here it is: 3 bottoms, 5 tops (forgot to take a picture of a white T shirt), 2 vests, 3 shoes and some bags. There were some accessories like earrings and statement jewelry, but that’s about it. Also, a nice lipstick in a bright colour always livens things up.

Is that too little? What do you think? Leave a comment!

Are you too doing a minimalist closet – what are your experiences?

OOTD Capsule Wardrobe

Hi everyone!

I was looking at my wardrobe and was surprised how much stuff I have that I don’t actually wear!
Do you have the same feeling as I do?
I know it is sad we wear only 20% of our wardrobe, but for me I think it is even less.

Since I changed my jobs and I wear a uniform now, my needs have changed also. I don’t need to worry any more about what to wear to work every day (which is actually a relief, I can tell you that ;)). Also, with this job, I don’t have time for my previous hobbies, so my closet doesn’t need to be that versatile any more.

What do I need? TO DECLUTTER!

I heard about CAPSULE WARDROBE and I googled it. It is actually a pretty interesting concept. In a nutshell, you choose around 33-37 items (including outerwear and shoes) using the rule of 3. You choose 3 jeans, 3 shorts, 3 T-shirts, 3 button ups, 3 shoes… You get the picture. You war it for a season, reuse some stuff for the next capsule and the rest you pack up.

So this outfit is inspired by the capsule wardrobe concept with the things I would keep.

vest – New Look
T shirt – New Look
Necklace – New Look
Jeans – Primark
Bag – Primark
Shoes – Startas

IMG_20151219_192413IMG_20151219_192450IMG_20151219_192551IMG_20151219_194326IMG_20151219_194408IMG_20151219_194442

As you can see I kept it pretty simple and just put a statement necklace to add a pop of colour.
I think it is very important to choose the right colour palette and you can already find someย on line to choose from because it really is overwhelming when you start.

The thing with the capsule wardrobe is I don’t know if I could do it! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
I like choices. I like dressing how I feel. I like being able to pick any style from baggy jeans to pretty dresses.
With this, you have to choose one and stick to it.

Is anyone doing the capsule wardrobe challenge or tried it? I am really interested in hearing your experience and how you liked it?! Or didn’t? Please leave a comment.

** Also, one of my New Year resolutions is to bring this blog to life! ๐Ÿ˜€ I know it’s not New Year yet, but never too early, huh? ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll be posting more often and it’s going to be a different concept. More about my travels, OOTDs, products I like, DIY, in other words – lifstyle! **

So please, follow me and leave a comment so I can improve!
You can also follow my travels on Instagram! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you all!

Be well! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sleepless in Seattle

Hi everyone! How are you?

It’s pretty early where I am right now and I can’t sleep so I thought I’d do something new! I will show you a little bit ofย my travels and thing you can do in the cities I’ve visited in only 24 hours! =D

First city, lovely Seattle!

I was pretty lucky with the weather as it wasn’t raining when I was there. There wasn’t any sun, but it wasn’t raining either. So that’s good. ๐Ÿ™‚

I didn’t get an impression Seattle was that big of a city and that’s what I love about it. Everything I’ve done was walking distance. At least for my touristic needs.

1. Pike Place Market

We started off the day by visiting the Pike Place Market. Great place for fresh food shopping, but also local DIY-ers. You can find beautiful fresh flowers, fruits, veggies and seafood. You have gotta try the seafood when you’re there! Go down to the peer and try any of the local restaurants for some fresh seafood. Yum!

And oh, any coffee lovers out there? In case you didn’t know, the first Starbucks is there! However, the line is always long. I would recommend getting your coffee a little bit up. There is a Starbucks that still uses the old logo. Then just go down to the first one and take your picture. Your friends will never know! ๐Ÿ˜‰

2. Gum Wall

You will come to a little fish stand and in front of it will be a golden pig. Why? I don’t know. But it’s cool. The whole city is actually full with street art and there is always something quirky to see and discover.
Next to the pig are stairs that lead to the Gum Wall. It is how it sounds. It started off in the 90s and you can leave your mark today. Just stick a chewing gum on the wall. I must say, it smells nice, but is is also kind of disgusting at the same time! After all, those are all chewing gums stuck on a wall. Do not touch! hhh

Cool thing to see!

3. Guided Tours

If you are a bit of a geek like me, you will enjoy some tours. They are around 20-30 dollars. Not too much. I took the Underground tour and the Duck tour.

The Underground Tour takes you (you guessed it) underground! Yaay! It is very interesting as the city has a story to tell. If you follow me on instagram then you must have seen this pic.

IMG_20150901_215902

Those are skylight around the city. There is a whole secret undergound world of Seattle I bet you didn’t even know you were walking on! Check it out!

4. Space Needle

Next on the list to cross off – the Space Needle! A must see. It was a half an hour walk from the Pioneer Square where The Underground Tour was. Take a walk! You’ll see nice architecture and street art on the way!

20150901_161512

However, we didn’t have the time to go up as we took the Duck tour that is across the road. It was awesome! Our guide, Captain Bjorn was the funniest person ever putting on different music while he was driving us around, wearing silly hats, animating us all the time while talking about the city at the same time. If you have kids, they will love this! You also go into Lake Union as it is an amphibious vehicle.
Any Heath Ledger fans out there? Did you know the movie 10 Things I Hate About You was filmed in Seattle? I love that movie! โค You can see where the paintball scene was filmed from the lake.

And that was pretty much my day. On the way back we stopped at the shopping area and went back to the hotel to rest our tired legs.

OOTD wise, I like keeping it simple on my travels. No heels, rarely any skirt or dresses.
I wore this really comfy, warm, over sized red H&M sweater, Primark darkย blue skinny jeans, black pashmina, black New Yorker leather jacket and black H&M fringe bag.

20150901_122341

I hope this wasn’t too long and that you found it helpful and interesting. I tried to keep it simple and to the point.
There are many more things I want to do next time I’m there like the EMP museum.

Have you been to Seattle? What did you do?
If you are a local reading this, what else would you recommend to a tourist?

And oh, please riddle me this! How come it is illegal to smoke cigarettes outside, but you can smoke weed? *confused* :S
