Minimalist Living – September

It seems to me that I wore much more clothes this month. Take a look.

Bottoms: 1 shorts, 1 jeans, 1 high waisted jeans (guys, these are sooo good and comfy I honestly recommend them – H&M) and 1 maxi skirt.

Tops: 3 shirts, 2 long sleeved T-shirts, 1 short sleeved and a tank top.

Outerwear: 1 blazer, 1 vest, 1 cardigan and 1 blanket as I call it x)

Shoes, as you can see, I have similar ankle booties. What I realized is I could spend most of my money coats and these kind of  booties! New weak spot! :/
The black and brown ones I bought only because they were so cheap (8$) and OMG they are the best buy ever! I’ve been out and about in them literally all day walking and exploring a new city and at the end of the day my feet didn’t hurt! Blessing! I love them!

I found that most of my items that I really love either came from a thrift shop or really cheap! How about you?

The all black ones, on the other hand, started hurting after only a few hours and I will most likely get rid of them. Same as the gray Startas. They are just old and worn out, but I am having seperating anxiety. Hhh Anyone else having these problems?

Just from looking at these pics I already know a few things I’m going to get rid of. Some of the clothes which are on the list, I wore just once and I realized they don’t make me feel that good when I wear them. 😦 Which is what your clothes are supposed to do in the end!

Just like my OOTD from September! Check it out here! πŸ™‚

HOW TO ”Fried” Rice My Way

Got home today from a flight hun-gry! Had to cook something so of course I turned to my go to quick meal – ”fried” rice!

I put it under quotes because it’s not really fried rice. It is my version of it, but still very yummy! πŸ™‚

Ingredients

  • Rice
  • Veggies
  • Onions
  • Soy Sauce
  • Bacon (or some other meat)
  • Cheese

How To

1. Cook the veggies.

Usually, I use fresh ones, but didn’t have any so I had to resort to frozen ones. Use anything you like – carrots, peas, corn, mushrooms, paprika… Whatever you like!

2. Cook the rice.

I don’t have a rice cooker so I do it old school way. Put the rice on oil for a short time and then put water in, add some salt and cover it until the water is gone. I use 1:1.5-2 ratio (rice:water) which means for one cup of ice, I put one and a half to two cups of water.

3. Fry onions and bacon (this step is optional).

I always fry onions (or garlic). I just feel it gives the meal extra nice taste and smell, but if you don’t like it, you don’t have to use it.

This time I used bacon, but other times I also put in hot dogs or chicken. Basically, you can use what you like. ItΒ is also optional. You don’t have to use it if you want a vegetarian version of a meal.

4. Mix everything in a pan.

Mix veggies and rice and put it in a pan where you fried onions and bacon.

5. Add soy sauce.

Simple a that. Add soy to everything. You don’t need a lot.

6. Add eggs.

Make a whole in the middle of the pan and add an egg or two (you’ll see how much you’ll need). Start stirring slowly mixing the egg into everything so the egg connects it all.

7. Add cheese.

Nice cheese which will melt all over! Yum! πŸ™‚

Maybe it doesn’t look so good, but believe me it is tasty! Whenever I make it, it goes so fast! =)

As you can see, this recipe doesn’t require any measurements and you can add or remove any ingredients as you like.

I am not much of a cook, nor do I claim to know how to. I am just sharing this recipe in hopes some hungry, inexperienced student or beginner will try it and like it.

If you do, please let me know and post some pictures of your version!

Bon Appetit Guys! =))
