I want to show you a beautiful old part of Dubai called Bastakiya. If you read my OOTD Boho Chic, you remember I mentioned it. If you missed it, see it here. 😉
It is all renovated to look like it used to and it is a tourist attraction. There are museums, nice restaurants and loads of local artists have their shops there. You can browse, watch them work, talk to them and buy a unique piece of art.
Enjoy the pics! =) (There is also a little DIY project hidden. See if you can find it! :))
Out on the streets…
Buy some local spices!
Ant this place…
Who wouldn’t like to sit and relax there with a nice mocktail?! ;D
Another nice place to seat and have something to eat and drink. It is also a gallery. Check out the art!
This one is a nice DIY idea! A tabure made out of tires and a pice of upholstered weod. Who’s gonna make one?! 😉
I really like the sculptures which throw different shadows. Which one is your favourite?
I would also recommend a restaurant called Arabian Tea House! I really like how it has flowers all around, and the blue of the benches and the white really gives it a nice feel. So beautiful! ^^
I have loads more pictures, but omg it would be crazy to upload them all!
It is a really cool place to visit and relax, have a bite to eat and a drink. Everything is nicely decorated and I love the bright colours!
Have you ever been there? What did you think?
Please like, comment and follow! Also you can find me on Instagram if you like to follow my travels!
Classic story. Feel tired, go to bed, brain starts working overload, can’t sleep. I know I’m not the only one, right?!
Thinking about my living room. Me and my room mates don’t actually use it, but if it looked nicer, maybe we would.
Take a look.
Not particularly inviting, I know. And you can see my Christmas tree! Hahahahaha x’D
Blank canvas. The thing is, our company owns the apartment so we can’t make any drastic changes. We have to leave the place like we found it, otherwise they charge us. And we don’t wanna invest a lot of money because we all know this is just temporary for us.
What to do then??? :s
Go to Pinterest! Hhh Yaaaay!
Anyone who’s been following me knows I love DIYing and naturally I already have a board just for that.
I have a couple of ideas what I could do, I just have to plan it carefully so I don’t end up with a bunch of stuff that don’t go well together.
I won’t say yet what my plans are, but they are in progress!
So if you guys want to see how to decorate your living room with little to no budget – stay tuned! Like and follow!
And, of course, suggestions are welcomed!
Inspiration is everywhere! 😉
Finally I found some time to clean my makeup brushes! Long over due, trust me, you don’t wanna know what they looked like.
I really wanted to order the Sigma glove, but at the moment there are just much more better ways to spend that 39$.
So I started googling for other options.
I ended up with this cute little fella! ^^
It’s just an oven glove, but it works great! I am really happy with it! And it was only 2$!
If you ask me, the concept is the same. It’s a silicon glove with some ledges.
Of course, it would be nice to have the original glove, but the job is done the same!
I clean it with a mixure of shampoo, conditioner and olive oil. They come out really clean and soft.
Some of the other options I saw (but didn’t find in the store I was at) was a peeling brush or a glove for grooming pets. Some people make it themselves as you can see on the last picture. You can also order little ones just for the fingers on e bay for a dollar.
In the end, I lay them flat on a towel and that’s it.
However, it isn’t good to do so. It’s better to hang them upside down. So next time, I’m stealing one of these ideas…
How do you clean them? Anyone got the Sigma glove? What are your thoughts?
Ps. Seriously, how cute is he?! Hhh 🙂
